Sharing some of my research with some of my other classes was important to me because I realized that when I was 18 and just starting college I had no idea about things such as peak oil. It wasn't until upperclassmen in my classes would speak about these topics did I really start to recognize them and get involved. So now being in the position of being that older classmate, I thought this would be a good opportunity to share with them what I wish someone had clearly shared with me. I gave a speech about peak oil and transition towns in my public speaking class (shown below) and me and Jared also gave a student lead activity where we talked about environmental issues in our concepts of self class.
